In Remembrance of the Children of our Founders.

Over the last 150 years the Rangers have fought many battles on the football field but few have made the ultimate sacrifice as the children of our Founders did,on this Remembrance weekend we remember.

Tom Vallance’s son Harold, Harold Vallance joined the 7th Battalion of the Highland Light Infantry and died in September 1918 just six weeks before Armistice Day,his name is on the Memorial at the High School of Glasgow.

Two of William McNeil sons also lost their lives Louden Bain McNeil and Charles McGregor McNeil who both died in 1916, Charles on the first day of the Battle of the Somme and Louden on the 11th November, both of their names are on the War Memorial at Pollokshaws Burgh Hall.

Founder Peter McNeil’s son John Fraser McNeil joined the Royal Artillery Regiment and lost his life just two weeks before Armistice Day.
